Meditation

Meditation is a time and space for us to connect to our own intuition, wisdom and deep healing. It is a place we carry within us, where we can listen, rest and renew from life's wear and tear.  It is instinctive and hard-wired into our system, accessible at any time.

When we meditate, there is no need to be anything other than ourselves.  The skills include embracing our thoughts, feelings, emotions, senses, rhythms, and instincts. The more tenderly and completely we are able to hold ourselves and all our experiences, the more benefits we receive from meditation.

There is much misinformation and misunderstanding around meditation. The idea that it is a space where we avoid or subvert our thoughts and desires, is misguided and potentially injurious. Once we learn to access our natural doorways in, meditation can unlock its potential and promise of connection, healing and rest.
